“Is a dynamic mic good for streaming?” That is a good question. In this article I am going to answer that question. First off I would like to say that if you are interested in streaming audio, then I recommend you go and check out some of my other articles first. This will get you pointed in the right direction and save you a bunch of time. This is not meant to be a sales letter, but more of a heads up.
So is a dynamic is a good fit for streaming? In short, yes, if you have the budget for it and don’t mind spending the money. Some people say they can’t hear the audio with a dynamic mic. I say why do you need to hear the audio, why not just listen to the sound?
The main thing to note about the dynamic mic is that it picks up every little sound in the audio. This means that there will be more of an audio to focus on. If you are streaming then your focus should be on one source, the audio. However if you are mixing then you are going to mix the audio and focus on what sounds good.
Another thing to note about the dynamic mic is that it is going to pick up more “intonation” or high frequencies than a regular mic would. This means that if you are listening to vocals, then the sound will be much higher pitched and more distinct. Also if you are streaming then you will produce a higher quality sound because the audio is not being compromised by other sounds in the background. With a regular in you might be losing the high quality of the sound in the background.
So to sum it all up, yes the dynamic mic is a good choice for streaming. However, when you are using it then you want to use it to capture the best quality audio possible, not to just get the closest sound possible. If you are streaming then you are trying to get the best sound out of your music or any other source. A dynamic mic is good for capturing that.
Overall this is a pretty good recording mic. It works great when recording vocals, but as I said before, if you are streaming then you don’t need this mic. The reason I say that is because it does capture the best sound out of the source. So if you’re someone who is wanting to make sure that you are getting the most out of every sound, then I recommend this mic. For general usage though, I would look into something else.
