One of my favourite sayings is “What do singers hate most about their own voice?”. I’ve always thought it was an interesting question and yet I can’t think of any.
There seems to be a lot of resentment towards the person who makes you sing they are seen as a hindrance, a distraction, a pain in the neck! That’s quite unfair really.
In fact to a large degree the vocalist (singer) never has the control of his/her voice. It’s at their whim the way the sound of the voice changes and the tone it takes.
Singers hate when their own voice is doing most of what they’re doing. It can be distracting – and annoying at times.
And then there’s the singer who can’t do a song correctly unless they have a certain tempo and tone. They may try a few different things and not get it right but then go back to their idea and get shot down again.
Oh, well, so what do they do? They sing it exactly how it should be done. The only difference is that they are trying to get around other vocal complications that prevent them from being able to do the song properly.
Do musicians have control over their voice?
But we also know that most musicians do have control of their voice. It’s just that sometimes they don’t know how to use it – or have had problems in the past with it.
Sometimes the voice is out of sync, other times it’s not quite in harmony – but the singer knows how to make it work again. There are lots of techniques for doing that.
We have all had our bad days. Maybe you couldn’t sleep at night because your voice kept waking you up at night. Maybe you felt unwell and made up over-the-top comments to your mates. These were bad days but no big disaster.
You just found another way of doing what you want: as long as you kept doing it, you would soon feel better and be able to sing better.
This goes on to show how important confidence is. When a singer can feel confident of his or her own voice – then everyone else notices that and supports them in their chosen profession.
Confidence means singing better and being able to sustain a consistent tone and level of voice.
A high quality voice lesson, using a good software and exercises can help you achieve this. If you go through the process of building your skills up and singing better, then it will become automatic.
Your body will feel healthier, be more supple and have more energy. You will be sleeping better. If you are a natural leader who commands respect, then naturally your voice will be respected too – and your speaking voice too!
The voice is the identity of the singer
As a singer, your voice is your identity. If you want to keep that then use your voice as much as possible to enhance your career. It may be painful at first but it’s nothing compared to letting a song fall flat.
If you find you are straining then back off for a few days and give it time. Soon you will wonder how you ever did without your sound enhancing your performance.
How do other singers deal with their sound? Do they let it control them and do they push it away? Sometimes they do both – at other times it is one or the other. For example, Patti LaBelle does not shy away from her high notes – she embraces it!
John Legend seems to have a gift for picking up difficult notes and singing them perfectly. But he is not a lute player or a cello player – he sings too many notes a day to keep his tone even.
He uses his voice to command attention, to show emotion and to command respect – all aspects of his art. Perhaps that is what makes him a great singer. Perhaps not.
It is hard to say whether or not singers hate their own voice. For some it comes naturally, while others would like it to be a little bit less obvious. In many cases it is difficult to do anything about it. You either accept it or you get used to it – or you try to mask it and sing other things.
If you really want to be an effective singer, you will have to do what your heart and soul want you to do – regardless of how other people may feel about it. After all, you are the one singing it – and your body and soul is what can make it sing.
Do singers sound good to themselves?
To most people, the question “do singers sound good on stage?” is a given. Most people have seen singers such as Elton John and Barry White to do their own songs and get laughs from the audience.
But not everyone realizes that those performers are actually just average or below average singers who can’t compete with those well-known singers.
The only way to become a great performer is to learn from someone who has a great voice and who can teach you. I’ll show you how to find these types of instructors.
The fact is that many professional dancers and singers do not come up on stage to perform because they lack the ability to carry a tune. If they had the ability, then they would already be well known and maybe they would not be looking for someone to teach them.
It takes real talent to be able to sing well, dance well, and act well, but unfortunately, most people do not have natural talent like that.
So, does that mean that the next time someone asks the question “do singers sound good on stage?” you don’t know how to answer it?
Always improve your singing skills
I’m here to tell you that you can get over your shyness and overcome any obstacles that you have. It’s not impossible to be a good singer, even if you don’t think you have a good voice.
There are many outstanding singers out there. Those singers are the reason why music is enjoyed by so many people.
They have the capability of singing fluently in front of an audience and creating a warm atmosphere while doing so. This ability is something that is difficult to describe, but once you see singers doing it live, then you will understand what I’m talking about.
Some people may laugh at the thought of singers with good voices, but you don’t have to be one of them to sound good.
All you have to do is practice. Everyone gets bad at something at one point, but no one ever becomes good at it. Good singers learn from their mistakes and improve, and that is the key to becoming a good singer.
Do singers who are good at singing learn their songs by practicing? Of course they do! No one can sing perfectly without practicing, which means no one can become a professional singer unless they are willing to do what it takes to get better.
Good singers never bother to repeat lines that they have already sung since they realize that repeating makes it sound boring. Repetition may help improve your confidence on stage, but you still have to sing it correctly and clearly.
Good conductors can use music to help influence the audience’s attitude. When a conductor gets his or her own audience to cheer for a performer, the performance itself will surely be more enjoyable.
What is the role of music in general?
Music has the ability to influence our moods and actions, even when we’re not aware of it. So, do singers really sound good on stage? Of course they do!
Good conductors know how to use music in any situation to help the audience to enjoy the performance. Good singers understand this principle even better.
They know that good conductors sound good on stage, so they practice to be good themselves. To become a good singer, all you have to do is practice what good conductors do. Practice, and then practice some more!
When people hear a good singer, they automatically assume that the singer is doing well. Even if they think the singer is not very good, they’ll still cheer at the end of the performance because of the energy of the performance.
Music is powerful, especially with an audience cheering for the performer. Good conductors know how to use music to influence their audience’s mood. This is why good singers sound so good on stage!
Of course, you can’t expect your audience to be like your favorite musician. However, it would be interesting to see how other professional musicians react to being on stage with someone who can’t carry a tune.
You can bet that they’ll clap, cheer, and give the performance of their lives! If you don’t believe this, then maybe you need to learn how to do singers sound good on stage.
Of course, good conductors also know how to make a recording that will keep people coming back for more. With a good recording, they are assured of getting a steady stream of income.
Imagine what it would feel like to have a steady stream of income from something that you did perfectly. Singers can go to any extent in enhancing their skills, whether it involves singing, conducting, dancing, or even playing an instrument.
All of these will add to your portfolio, which will allow you to start thinking about promotions and new projects.
Can you make your voice sound better for singing?
If you have ever been in a situation where you wanted to be heard above all the other voices in a crowd, then you know that you can’t make your voice sound better for singing.
It is important that you understand what makes your voice sing so good. We will go over a few tips that will help you understand what makes your voice sing so well.
The first thing that we need to consider is projection
Projection means the way that your voice sounds out of your mouth. It is important for you to have projection when you are singing in public because if you don’t your voice sounds very robotic.
Robots don’t sound natural. Your voice needs to sound more like you are talking to someone in your home than you are singing in a huge stadium.
Another factor that will help you sound better is your tone
Your tone is what will make your voice sound better when you are singing in front of people. Everyone has a different voice and a unique voice tone. This is what gives everyone their distinctive voice.
When you sing, you should try to make your notes higher. This will help you sound much farther away from the mic. This distance will also help you make your notes sound better and louder.
You want to make sure that you are singing higher than you normally would. That will help you keep the level of projection that you need so that you can make your voice sound better for singing.
Try singing while breathing
The more you can control your breath while singing, the better you will sound. Your vocal chords will need to be pushed into use.
This can be done by doing chin exercises or using a diaphragm to expand it. These methods will make your voice stronger and cleaner as well.
Practice singing along with a metronome
A metronome can help you time your singing. If you have a good idea of how far you need to go, you can teach yourself how to time your singing by using a metronome. This is a great way to make sure that you have a steady sound as you sing.
Practice recording yourself when you are singing
There are many software programs that can record your voice for you. Then you can listen to your recorded voice to make sure that you are doing it correctly.
This can also help you get your voice sounds right when you are singing in front of people. This can help you know how to make your voice sound better for singing.
Use some of these tips. They will help you to make your voice sound better for singing. They will also help you to start singing better too. This is a simple thing that anyone can do. You might not think that you could sing better, but the more you practice the better you will get.
You might think that you are singing too loudly. The key is to try and speak normally. Also try to speak above the top of your head.
If you do this you should be able to hit the note without shouting too loudly. Plus if you do this you will help to release the air from your lungs, which can help you produce a better tone.
If you feel that your voice is rough then it is probably because you are trying to hard. Try and relax more during your singing session. This will help to make your voice smooth and mellow.
Another great tip is to try and breathe everyday. Breathing can really help to open your chest and make you easier to sing better. Try to sing for about 3 minutes without any speaking.
This should help you to breathe deeply and release all the tension that is in your body. Make sure that you breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. Doing this can also help to clear the air passages in your throat and make them bigger.
In this page you will find several tips that can help you improve your voice quickly. This will also help you avoid any further throat problems and vocal chord damage. It is a real advantage when you start to notice your voice getting better.
