Are Condenser Mics Durable?

There is a lot of discussion on and offline about condenser microphones. They have been around since the 1920’s when they were invented by George Palminteris. He found that by adding a small plate to the front of the microphone he could increase the dynamic range of the sound. This was the first step towards the ever popular microphone now known as a condenser microphone.

The condenser mic has taken many uses throughout the decades, mostly as recording equipment. They have found their way into the home studio as well. They are used in most professional audio and video studios.

How do they hold up against the abuse of being used in studios and on stage? Are they as durable as they appear? This all depends on what you are using the condenser for. If you are just using it to record vocals then it probably isn’t going to last that long. If you are going to be performing live though, it probably will not matter much.

Most professional audio equipment is quite durable and some of the audio engineers own condenser microphones. These days you can find them for just about any purpose that you can imagine. They are also available for the acoustic guitar player as well. If you are looking for a solid, reliable guitar mic then you definitely want one of these.

It is important to know how long a microphone will last and how it is going to hold up to abuse. With so many models to choose from it is easy to get confused but don’t let that stop you from getting what you need. There are great deals on the internet that allow you to get a quality condenser mic at an affordable price.

When you are looking for a good quality microphone you will want to make sure that you are getting everything that you need in one package. This can include a USB cord, carrying case, headset, tuner, power cord, earphones, condenser microphone as well as batteries. Many top of the line microphones will also include a screen printed screen that you can see through your helmet. Whether you are looking to buy a cheap cardioid mic or a nice studio mic, you will want to make sure that you consider all of the features that you have to choose from when looking at the different models that are on offer.
